Relationships are connected to the other aspects of your life. The way that you are feeling within a relationship can have implications on both your career and health.
The common denominator here is love.
Love and The Law of Attraction
Love is the Universal energy. If you are having issues with receiving love easily in your relationships, whether they be romantic relationships or any other type, then you will also most likely be finding it difficult to allow yourself to feel good, be healthy and successful.
The way that you connect with the people around you (or, indeed, the absence of the ones you may still waiting for!) is a direct consequence of your daily mental and emotional state.
This is because most of us create our lives by default, as opposed to consciously creating it.
Most of us don’t intentionally create problems, issues or conflicts.
The Law of Attraction simply gives you what you ask for. This is why it is so important to be mindful of the thoughts and feelings you are projecting into the Universe.
Besides your mental and emotional projections, your beliefs also influence what you manifest. Your subconscious beliefs will either block or accept the things you want.

What Causes Issues In Allowing More Love Into Your Life?
This may stem from past experiences, either from your own personal ones, or the relationships that you may have seen growing up.
If you have predominantly seen or experienced challenging, abusive or rocky relationships, you start to form negative associations and beliefs with love in your subconscious mind.
As a result, when you consciously think about having love, you energetically (and unknowingly!) push away any opportunity that will allow love in.
How Does This Impact Other Areas Of Your Life?
When you are in a happy, healthy, supportive relationship, you release a cocktail of feel-good hormones and you also feel:
- more confident and prepared to take risks
- safe, secure and stable
- more motivated and driven
- like you have a sense of purpose
- like you have more clarity, focus and direction in your life
All of these things are conducive to success, prosperity and health.
So, when you involved in a rocky relationship, whether a romantic one, with a friend, members of your family or at work, it starts to affect other areas of your life.
This is especially true if the relationship in question is one that you deem important or one that is very prevalent in your life.
For example, it may be a work colleague, that you don’t care much for, but if you are in constant conflict or unease within this professional relationship, it will still have an impact on you.
Here are 3 ways that conflicts in your relationships can impact your life and how to overcome these:
-
Work-Life Balance
All you really want is to have a balanced, harmonious life. Instead, you come across conflicts, obstacles or challenges your relationship that affect your career (or vice versa!), and you begin to feel drained, exhausted and fed up of having to sacrifice one area of your life for the other
When you think about trying to strike the right balance between your career and relationships, you feel like it’s impossible and that you have to compromise one for the other.
You feel defeated and create beliefs that will only allow you to have one or the other, and never both successfully and in harmony together.
To resolve this, you need to get clear on what it is you want. Have clarity on what the ideal balance would be for you, and take actionable steps to achieve this.

Lack Of Motivation And Drive At Work
The apathy from the constant conflict in a relationship soon begins to take its toll.
It may result in you being passed up for opportunities for career progression, a lack in productivity and a decline in job satisfaction.
Ironically, when you aren’t happy at work, it often causes issues in your love life and your finances may also be taking a hit! So, it’s a bit of a vicious cycle.
Check in with how you are feeling about your work.
A great way to check in with how you are feeling about work is to ask yourself:
Does it excite me? Do I love it? What makes me happy?
Think back to your childhood. What used to make you laugh? What made you excited? Now focus less on the activity itself, and more on the values or feelings of the activity and journal it.
If your work makes you feel purposeful, excited and happy, then you need to take a closer look at the conflicts in the relationship and how they may be holding you back in your career.
If you realise that your work is actually not making you happy, then consider a change. It could be that you are not being fulfilled at work which may be causing you to project your frustrations onto your loved ones, thereby causing the conflict.

Mental and Physical Health
When you are going through a rocky patch in a relationship with someone you love, it can start to leave you feeling inadequate, depressed and very stressed.
The stress alone can have implications on your physical health, causing a variety of ailments and diseases.
You may swing between bouts of depression or anxiety, feeling fine one moment and depressed another.
This can lead to disrupted sleeping patterns, unhealthy and sometimes expensive addictions, issues with your weight and body image, even your self-confidence and self-worth.
A great way to offload the stress from a conflict is to journal your thoughts, feelings and emotions. Allow yourself to feel them, but don’t hold onto any feelings that don’t make you feel good.
