We have forgotten the innate ability of our body to heal itself.  Many people rely heavily on doctors and medication to cure their ailments.

Conventional medication is amazing, and definitely has its place in the healing process.  However, most medication comes with side-effects of its own.

As a Pharmacist, I regularly saw evidence of adverse effects of medication on the body, or interactions between different medicinal drugs.  Patients are treated in a standard way, without the unique differences in the way that one individual may react to treatment compared to another, really being taken into account.

This can lead to further complications.

Prevention is better than cure, right?

So, why not reclaim some of that power, reconnect with your own innate ability to self-heal and reduce the likelihood of having to rely on more and more medication, just to cancel out the side effects of the others?

This isn’t to say you should stop taking any prescribed medication without medical supervision.

When you start to be more conscious about your thoughts and how they impact your health, you will gradually notice an improvement in your health.

As a Holistic Health Therapist, I work with many clients on their health issues, some of whom have noticed very rapid improvement on their health issues.  Others take a little longer.  It varies, and there are many factors to take into account – the individual, their ailment(s), their own drive to get better, their personal rate of healing, etc.

This isn’t a magic trick, where with a wave of a wand, everything gets better overnight.

As with anything else, the more you put in, the more you will get out.


The Impact On Thoughts on Your Health and Well-Being


Your body is a magical thing, and you experience all perspectives of life from this beautiful vessel.

The way that you feel affects your thoughts and impacts on your unconscious beliefs.


Here are 5 things that you can do to think yourself back to health:


1) Change Your Beliefs

Your unconscious beliefs can be empowering or limiting.  If you choose to focus on bad-feeling thoughts, it stands to reason that you will likely create limiting belief systems.  These unconscious, self-imposed limitations, will block you in your life.  They may create disease or prevent you from overcoming a health issue.

If you believe you aren’t going to get better, that it is a terminal illness and that you’re stuck with it, powerless to change anything, you will limit any possible solutions for becoming well again.

When you feel good, everything looks better to you.  It is quite possible to feel good, even if you are suffering from a long-term illness.

The trick here is to stay in the attitude of gratitude.  When you bless all you have to be thankful for, you naturally feel better and more positive.  So, even if you are suffering from an illness, that leaves you drained, in pain or discomfort, try to spend 5-10 minutes writing down a list of things you are happy and grateful for in that moment.


2) Get Out of “Victim” Mode

Feeling sorry for yourself, or expecting others to feel sorry for you is going to keep you stuck in “victim” energy.  In doing so, you give away your power.  You start to rely on something else, outside of you, to “fix” you and thereby sabotage any necessary steps to improve your health.

When you are caught up in a victim mentality and expect someone or something else to “fix” you, then you will never the take the necessary steps to improve your life.

The same is true if you constantly identify and place focus on the disease.  This simply blocks you from being able to see the blessings and positive aspects of health that exist in your life.

Most healthy people tend to be happy and grateful.  The ones that are not as healthy, are usually able to have a much better quality of life when they adopt a more positive attitude.


3)  Do More Activities That Make You Feel Good

The way that you feel affects your thoughts and attitude about things.

When you partake in activities that make you feel good, your perspective shifts.  You will experience more clarity, joy and well-being.  This is like a domino effect, because when you are feeling good, you are naturally more inclined to take steps to feel even better.


4) Be More Conscious About Your Thoughts

Become more aware about your thoughts.  Are you one of those people who are always dreading things when faced with a new challenge?  Or do you embrace the challenges, and use it for an opportunity for growth, learning and excitement?

Some of us are just naturally programmed not to like change.  This could stem from past experiences, where change has caused some trauma, pain or suffering in your life.

5) Meditate and Tune Into Your Own Body

Our bodies are always giving us messages.  It may start as a whisper.  If you ignore it, the message gets louder and louder until you pay attention.

More often than not, by the time clients come to see me, their bodies are literally ROARING out loud with a message for the client. In my sessions, I intuitively tune into the body and decipher these messages for the client.  Many times, when the client has acted on the messages the body is trying to give through their disease, disorder or discomfort, their issues magically start to resolve.

Take a few minutes every day to quietly sit down, without any distractions.  Tune into your body.  There may be some pain or discomfort, or it may be a long-term condition that is affecting one or more of your organs.  Simply place your focus on these areas and speak to the area.  This is called body whispering.  See what you sense or hear.  And trust whatever you get.  Write it down and you may be surprised at what your body is trying to tell you!

Healing on Skin Rash

“About 2 months ago I was suffering from terrible itchy hives all over my body; I tried everything, from calamine lotion to cold baths twice a day nothing was stopping the itching and big red bumps that were now turning into bruises because of the itching.

Unable to sleep and totally frustrated with what was going on I went to the doctor who prescribed me a harsh steroid; I took that for 2 days and the hives didn’t go away. Nothing was working. Then finally I decided to try an alternative approach.
